Lyvie Scott
Lyvie Scott is a Los Angeles-based entertainment writer who thrives in the fandom space. She’s happiest when consuming media that centers women of color — all the better if that media has some foothold in “genre genres” like action, science fiction, or fantasy.
Lyvie has previously written for /Film and Comic Book Resources, and currently has bylines with publications like TV Guide and Letterboxd. She spends the majority of her time looking for ways to spotlight women of color in traditionally gatekept genres, those she grew up loving, and critiquing the disparities that marginalized filmmakers face. Her favorite movie (currently, at least) is Wong Kar-wai’s The Grandmaster.
